What the campus offers
The Sport & Art Campus sits in Tema and brings football turf, a basketball court, a tennis court and dedicated art spaces into one facility, alongside a clinic that will operate under the Doctor's Room Project, led by Vanessa Mensah. The campus art programme will be led by Natalia Bradbury, with renowned curator Azu Nwagbogu attending the launch.
Omenaa Mensah, founder of the Omenaa Foundation, Kids Haven and the Sport & Art Campus, said the facility will serve the Tema community and children at Kids Haven School, and give entrepreneurs, artists and sporting personalities a platform to interact with and inspire young people.

The diaspora story behind it
Mensah, a Ghanaian media entrepreneur based in Poland, said her own sporting journey inspired the project. "Growing up in Poland, I joined a basketball team at the age of nine. The sport gave me strength and resilience and taught me the importance of teamwork and hard work. Art is another important pillar we want to introduce into our ecosystem. These two disciplines are at the heart of this campus," she said.
Her husband, Polish entrepreneur Rafal Brzoska, said the project grew out of a community built to support Kids Haven School and to improve the quality of education through sports and the arts. He described it as an opportunity to build bridges between Europe and Africa and to strengthen business and cultural relations between Ghana and Poland.
Mensah disclosed that more than 65 entrepreneurs from Central and Eastern Europe travelled to Ghana for the opening - a sign of the project's ambition to connect philanthropy, art and business.
Who came
The grand opening ceremony on Saturday, 31 October 2026 drew sporting legends, traditional leaders, members of the diplomatic corps and industry leaders from Ghana, Poland and beyond. Ghanaian footballers Asamoah Gyan, Baffour Gyan, Daniel Opare and Jerry Akaminko were among the guests, alongside basketball's Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Nigerian DJ and philanthropist DJ Cuppy attended and provided musical entertainment. Father Piotr Wojnarowski, director of Don Bosco Fambul in Sierra Leone, also attended and shared the story behind the project's beginnings.

Why it matters if you are in the diaspora
This is the diaspora-investment story Kaaklo exists to cover: Ghanaians abroad putting money, networks and expertise back into the country. The Omenaa Foundation says the campus is expected to become a centre for collaboration, creativity and youth development in Tema - combining sports, healthcare, education and the arts in one place.
